Courses to obtain the necessary certificates and qualifications to become a certified drone pilot With our certified training, the student will obtain the necessary aviation knowledge that a pilot or operator of unmanned aircraft must have to carry out their activity.

All courses to obtain official certificates have been developed following the requirements set by AESA in the Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947 for all EASA operations and following the old Royal Decree 1036/2017 for all NON-EASA operations. .

Courses for AESA drone pilots

Regulated Professional Training

Our drone pilot training programs are designed to provide practical and specialized learning, with up-to-date content tailored to the real needs of the industry. This is regulated professional training, which guarantees quality, official recognition, and direct applicability in the workplace.

In addition, this training can be subsidized through company training credits via FUNDAE, allowing organizations to invest in the development of their teams in a more accessible and cost-effective way.

CERTIFIED TRAINING ACCORDING TO EUROPEAN REGULATIONS

For class C0 and C1 drones

  • Maximum allowable takeoff mass: 900g
  • Maximum speed in horizontal flight of 19m/s
  • Maximum height limited to 120 m

For class C2 drones

  • Maximum mass allowed at takeoff: 4kg
  • Maximum height limited to 120 m

For drones of classes C2, C3 and C4

  • Maximum mass allowed at takeoff: 25kg
  • Maximum height limited to 120 m

TRAINING CONTENT A1/A3

The basic drone pilot training is a theoretical course focused on obtaining the A1/A3 drone license. The training addresses the familiarization and basic use of drones and enables you to fly drones in the open category within the entire European territory.

Once the official online exam has been passed, the title is issued by AESA – State Aviation Safety Agency, and EASA – European Aviation Safety Agency.

Requirements:

  • Have a valid ID and be over 16 years old

A2 TRAINING

A2 TRAINING CONTENT

The A2 drone pilot course is the second level training on the AESA scale. The training is focused on obtaining the A2 drone pilot license. This certificate accredits you to pilot drones, within the A2 category, throughout the national and European territory.

With the A1/A3 and A2 qualifications, your path towards the professional sector with drones begins, since the latter enables you to pilot C2 class UAS (up to 4 kg) in some scenarios.

The title is issued by AESA – State Aviation Safety Agency and EASA – European Aviation Safety Agency.

STS-ES-01 AND STS-ES-02 TRAINING

SPECIFIC CATEGORY

Within this classification, two standard training scenarios are included: STS-ES-01 and STS-ES-02.

This particular category of drone training covers operations with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) that present a medium level risk.

  • At BVLOS (beyond the pilot’s visual range).
  • In urban environments with C 2 drones or less than 4kg without CE marking.

STS Professional Drone Pilot Course Requirements.

  • Be at least 16 years old.
  • D.N.I. / Valid passport.

If you still do not have the A1/A3 Basic Certificate, you can contact us because we include it for free when taking the STS Professional Course.

Radiophonist Course

The Radio Operator Certificate is essential for activities within controlled airspace.

You will acquire the essential knowledge to understand radio transmissions and communicate effectively with air traffic authorities in the corresponding region.

Additionally, you will become familiar with the proper use of communications and signals in emergency and rescue situations, as well as radio telephony techniques.

Content of the radio operator course

The content that will be studied in the theoretical part will be:

· Airspace and air traffic services.
·Radiotelephony
· The comunications
· Radio procedures
· Emergency procedures

Requirements to be a radio operator

  • Have theoretical certificates in open category: A1/A3, A2 or in specific STS category.
  • Have a valid ID
  • Being over 18 years
