As we approach the end of 2025, the world of drone pilots is preparing for a major regulatory change that will affect all pilots operating in the Specific Category. If you are one of them, this is important for you.
📅 What changes starting January 1, 2026?
The expiration of the National Standard Scenarios (STS-ES) will mark a before and after. From that date onwards, only practical certification in the European Standard Scenarios (STS-EU) will be valid to legally operate in the Specific Category with drones marked as class C5 and C6 respectively.
Therefore, if you haven’t completed your STS training yet and plan to perform these types of operations, now is the time to finish your training!
